≈ Biography ≈
Dr Goda is a Ph.D. holder from the Graduate School of Medical Science, Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine (Japan, 2009), a senior research associate at Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology (South Korea, 2011-2014), a visiting researcher at Kagoshima University (Japan, Sept. 2022-March 2023), and a professor at the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Faculty of Pharmacy, Tanta University (Egypt). Dr Goda's research theme is experimental therapeutics. Research interests include characterization of the molecular mechanisms underlying the novel/off-target anti-tumor activity of different agents(natural products, drugs in clinical use or synthetic compounds), developing mechanism-based drug combinations which enhance apoptosis of cancer cells, introduction of novel drug combinations protecting major body systems/organs from the drug-induced target organ damage, and enhancing drugs efficacy via pharmaceutical formulations. Dr Goda has served as a peer reviewer for several reputable international journals such as Scientific Reports, Biochem Pharmacol, Pharmacol Res, Life Sciences, Mol Cell Biochem, Int Immunopharmacol, Cell Biol Toxicol, J Chemother and many others. Dr Goda has participated in several international conferences/symposia, and has received the (Japanese Cancer Association Travel Award for Excellent Paper) during the 2014 annual meeting in Yokohama. Dr Goda has also been awarded the (Young Scientist Award) from Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine (Japan, 2009).
